More amazing news for Roc Da Mic! We have been featured in Sheffield's The Star with an exclusive look into the audition process
and some very important information for all auditionees. We are really excited with a lot of the press thats been happening recently and still looking forward to the upcoming audition dates. Can't wait to see you there!
THE mother of pop princess Alexandra Burke visited Sheffield with her team of music industry experts on a quest to try and find the 'next big thing'.
Melissa Bell - former lead singer of nineties group Soul II Soul - held an open audition at the city's Hilton Hotel for the Roc Da Mic competition, which will see one lucky winner scoop a £10,000 prize.
"I suppose you could say Roc Da Mic is a rip-off of X Factor, but it's all for charity so I'm sure Simon Cowell won't mind," Melissa said.
"We want to give someone out there - some talented person who really deserves it - a break into the industry, as well as raising money for three fantastic charities, so we're killing two birds with one stone."

COBHAM had the X-Factor on Sunday as more than 100 contestants competed to become the next big thing.
Organised by the mother of former X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke, the Roc Da Mic event gave people the chance to audition in front of industry experts, and compete for a recording contract and a £10,000 cash prize.
The heats were at the Hilton Hotel in Seven Hills Road, Cobham, and one Hersham schoolgirl made it through to the semi-finals with two sparking performances.
Lauren Lammell, 15, a pupil at Rydens School in Walton, was unanimously voted through to the semi-final by the judges, including members of Alexandra Burke's family.
Due to overwhelming response, a new heat has been added to the list of auditions: London! That's right, Roc Da Mic will be returning to London
